miscommunication sucks

did i even spell that right? well grrrr, i was all excited cause i found this woman to clean my house for a really great deal- and she supposedly does a great job. a mom at my preschool gave me her number. so i thought she was coming today, at 8am. i got up early, and keep in mind that i won't be able to sleep in tomorrow either. so i gave up my sleep in time to not have to clean. i was so excited. an hour and a half later, shes STILL not here, so i call her. she thought that she was to come next saturday. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. i'm so annoyed. not at her, just the situation. so now, today, i have to clean. so much for my saturday of scrapping.
oh, and just so everyone knows, i don't even DRINK any of that milk! all for my preschoolers and my hubby. i sometimes use the light soy milk (i'm lactose intolerant, which sucks cause i love ice cream and cheeese) in my cereal.

just heard that song on the radio as i was parking my car. love that song. tracy rocks.

lots going on right now, been super busy, and i'm gonna keep this short cause its 9:15 and i want to watch my tivo-ed "Big Love" before i go to bed. yes, tv is more of a priority than blogging. sorry.

had sooooo much fun with muriel and michelle this weekend. i love scrapping with friends, especially when they're as "hard core" as i am, or more so. talking about pp, chipboard, hs, 7gypsie, ki, basic grey, mm, what have you. all that fun scrap talk that no one else finds entertaining unless they're psycho, ahem, i mean hard core like me. plus the BEST part is having honest opinions and ideas when you're stuck. that rocks. and they're both amazing scrappers. and michelle puts together lo's like you would not believe. she's crazy.
but yeah, it was lots of fun. check out michelle's blog for some pics (i couldn't find my camera, and i'm annoyed cause i reallly wanted a pic of the table- it was a total mess! love it!)

on a new diet right now. one of the mom's at my preschool is a nutritionist, so she hooked me up. and i just signed up for some sessions w/my work out trainer w/some of my tax money. yeah, kinda let everything get away. it just sucks that i worked sooooo hard to look fabulous for my wedding, then not even a year later i've almost gained it all back! i was totally fine with 5 pounds, ok with 10, but 15? not so much. and i want to lose the weight before i get pregnant. weird, yes, i know. but i'm weird, so there : p

so stoked on the cj. bloggin babes. everyone seems really excited, so many fun ideas/topics, and all fabulous ladies!!!!!

a HUGE thank you to jessie and jamie for organizing such a fun and creative and fabulous birthday surprises!!!!! a bunch of 2pea (and blogger!) friends made fabulous hands for me to decorate my house with! what a fabulous way to start off my 25th year! so thank you so much jessie & jamie- and thank you to everyone who participated! every single hand page was so freakin awesome and all made me tingly and happy inside : ) i felt so special and so happy to have found and made such amazing friends on the "world wide web" (seriously never thought i'd say that!) defiently the best birthday surprise i've ever had!
i had a great birthday weeekend, wine tasting was a blast!!!!
of course i was defiently feeling it by the end of the day, and took a two hour nap when i got home. luckily i got up in time to say hello to muriel and her husband (well, almost in time...........) and bday cake. muriel, sorry i'm such a lush, but i hope you still had a good time!

so anyways, life is still crazy busy. i've been wanting to scrap so bad, have sooooooo many layouts in my head, then when i finally have the time i'm so exhausted and just head to bed. hopefully i'll have some scrapping time soon. on the 22nd, fellow blogger and 2pea-er Muriel is going to come over to scrap-so i'm super looking forward to that! and got an email from my friend jessie, who said "Remember when I didn't work and I stayed home and scrapped all day? Yeah... that was nice!" yes it was jess! i miss that too. lots. if it wasn't for the whole needing money thing, i would totally still be doing nothing!!! i don't know what i'm going to do when i have kids. how do you scrappers do it? work full time, do all the motherly and wifely things, and still scrapbook???? so i'll just leave you with some silly pics from this past weekend:

random goings on...........

*my cousin Brian came back from Iraq this weekend!!!! He’s the uncle of the boys who were staying with me. Sooooooooooooo freakin happy to have him home safe and happy : )

*saw the movie jarhead. So glad I saw it while my cousin was on his way home. Cause that movie made me sad

*but I am proud of my cousin Brian, and very proud to be an American!

*had a girls night on Friday night, for half the night anyway. So much freakin fun. Miss having girls nights out. Kat got crazy as usual……..

*have too many blogger friends. Ok, no such thing as too many, but it takes me almost an hour to read them all

*oh dude! And a humming bird totally just flew into my window! Didn’t seem to faze her though, she just flew off. But that always cracks me up. Guess I have really clean windows………

*speaking of clean, had my house “deep cleaned” this weekend. Paid almost $200 and they did a horrible job!!! I actually called and complained and they’re coming back. I was so freaking mad when I came home and saw that they had missed a toilet, left comet residue all over the sink, and didn’t do any baseboards- when that was specifically what I had asked for. Grrrrrrrrrrrr. Maybe I don’t want them to come back…………

*six days till my birthday! Woo hoo to turning 25!!!! And 4 days till my bday party! Going wine tasting, I’m soooooooooooooooooooooo excited!

*in the process of hiring an assistant. Totally think I’m gonna hire this one girl, but now I have to call the other and tell her she didn’t’ get the job. That sucks.

*loving my Rachel ray 365 days cookbook. I’ve already cooked like 5 of her recipes, and I haven’t even had the book for 2 weeks yet! (that’s a lot of recipe cooking for me. Usually I just do my “usual” dinners

*have a bunch of teething babies here. Man, that is some painful stuff! for the babies, and for me!

*went off my birth control pills ; ) not trying yet, but still really exciting time!!!

*last night I went and got ice cream instead of going to the gym. Whats that about? No more complaining about gaining weight for me!

*5 days till I can eat chocolate again! Just in time for my bday!!!! Woo hooo!!!

*have lots of pics I want to post, but my camera is out of batteries and I’m too lazy to go get new ones. So that will have to wait……….

*ok, baby is waking up and crying………… other kiddo’s will be getting here soon. So I should be getting going

Hessica Hessica

*a fabulous girlfriend post*

Jessica and I have been best friends since the second grade- 17 years!!!! I'll never forget the day that I met her- she was riding her purple scooter, long blond hair flowing behind her. Oh I was jealous. and she had on purple rebok hightops- I knew this chick was cool. ( apparently she thought that i was part of a movie star family, because my dad was sportin' some cool shades. aw, first impressions of an 8 year old.....) That was the first day of soccer practice, we were on the Firecrackers with coach Stew. The first day of school was just a few days later, and we were in the same class with Mrs. Larson. It was my first day at a new school- go Duveneck Dragons!, so I was assigned a "buddy" to show me around. And at morning recess she promtly ditched me to go play kickball. So I was stranded, all alone at a new school where I didn't really know anybody, and more importantly I didn't know where the bathroom was. Oh goodness, do I remember sitting on the bench, having to pee so bad I wanted to cry, and meekly asking anyone who walked by where the bathroom was (I think I was whispering, I was so embarassed, so of course no one heard me). Then Jessica came up, the girl with the long flowing blond hair and purple shoes. My hero. She showed me where the bathroom was and instantly became my best friend.

We've been through a lot together. Lots of laughs, lots of tears, lots and lots of drama (isn't that what girls do?) even more boys, and more boys, gossiping & giggling, sleepovers and trips, rollerskates and barbies, stalking & phone calls, highschool graduations, moving away to college, trips around the world to visit each other. a wedding. a death. Life. There have been times where we don't get to see each other, or even talk on the phone that often. But she's always been my best friend. The friend I know I can count on to listen to me cry, to get my back, to give the best advice, and who will always, ALWAYS make me laugh and show me a good time.
She will be the godmother to my first child, and my first daughter will have her namesake. I love my Hessica Hessica, J.L. cool R. Bestest friends forever

my hero, my husband, my steve

i just have to take a minute to brag about my fabulously wonderful perfect husband. besides the whole april fools thing......
so he has 2 weeks off for spring break (i know, lucky!!!! -in my best napolean voice) and what has he been doing? pretty much working for me. he has been helping out so much for my preschool. he's been putting up baby gates, watching them for a bit when i go put away laundry or print out papers, etc, and he went on a fieldtrip to petsmart with me and the kids. now thats love. 6 kids in a petsmart? wowza (and do you know how many people asked us if the kids were all ours??? i was like, um, none of them are. they don't even look like us! and they were wearing matching preschool t-shirts. duh)
and remember, this is on his vacation people! and he's only going to do more. he's planning on working in the yard, starting to fix up the garage (we're turing it into a play room for my preschool), giving me random back massages, and yet still watching the kids while i try to get other stuff taken care of around the house. he's been so amazing, and i'm so lucky. he even made me dinner tonight, and didn't complain a bit- even though i was being all whiny and bratty (see, i'm a brat too barb!) and annoying.
i know this post isn't making much sense. in case you all didn't gather from previous posts, i'm not exactly a writer. i pretty much suck at it. i just type as i would talk, or as it flows in my head.
but i just had to give a shout out to my sexy hubby for being the best in the whole wide world.
i love you more than anything steve and i'm so lucky to have you : )

steve gets a message on his cell phone. he gets all stressed and tells me that Brinks (security) called saying that our alarm was activated, and the cops had to come and break a window to get in. I totally freak out, he gets me going for a few minutes- why did they break the window? was someone there? wtf??????????? " oh and kat? april fools

fast forward again to saturday, april 1st 2006.
we had arrived in arizona late friday night, so saturday we just wanted to sleep and be lazy all day. nice and relaxing. so we're watching the boob tube at my friend jackie's house. steve gets up, goes to the bathroom, comes back with his cell phone and is like "i have a message." whips open the phone, listens to the voicemail and is like "oh no." i asked him what was wrong and he did the just-a-second-finger-wave so he could finish listening to the message. then he hangs up the phone and told me that he was supposed to have gone to work on friday. [school was canceled due to the protests]. only the students didn't need to go. teachers were supposed to.
ok, so you all know that this is another april fools joke. my friend jackie even knew. but nope, not me- "oh no!! what are you going to do? are you in trouble? do you have to make up a day? oh no!"

i was so pissed that he totally freakin got me. what the hell is my problem? its not like i didn't know it was april 1st. i even remembered a few days before and was trying to prepare myself.
nope, i just suck. i'm so freakin gullible, and steve is also VERY convincing. my friend jackie almost believed it too, but she knew it was april fools day.

so anyways, as i mentioned before, we went to arizona for the weekend. one of my oldest and bestest friends jackie just bought a new house. so they were having a housewarming party and we needed a mini-vaca. perfect. and it was good times. they bought a beautiful house in chandler, AZ
oh, and they had a CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN at their party

i was really worried when i first found out. how was i supposed to NOT eat the chocolate? chocolate fountains are soooooooooooooo yummy. AND i was going to be pmsing- and thats when i totally crave chocolate. somehow, i managed. and i totally helped that jackie also made this super yummy white creamcheese-y dip something. mmmmmmmmmmmm

but it was great seeing jackie. we've known each other since we were 8, been good friends since jr. high. we were both bridesmaids in each others weddings. and we always have so much fun together- gossiping and giggling like school girls ; )


did my dance class again tonight. looked a little more hip hop. go me. but i REALLY need to work. gained over 10 pounds since my wedding. thats bad.
but guess what? two weeks till my birthday!!! wooo hoooo!!!
i can't believe i haven't really started my count down yet, i usually start like months in advance. but i am planning my bday wine tasting extravaganza. soooo excited. 25. thats old. thats a quarter of a century.
