HAPPY BIRTHDAY SEXY HUBBY!!!!!!!

Today is my sexy hubby's 25th Birthday. Woo hoo for quarter life!
So, in honor of his bday, here is a list of some of the reasons he's the best;

-He buys me ice cream AND magazines when I'm having a pregnancy craving ;)

-Every(other) Sunday he pulls out the Michael's ad for me so that I can have the 40% off coupon

-Even when he's asleep, I can just nodge him a certain way and he'll put out his arm to let me snuggle up with him and start to rub my back

-He comes home from a crazy, busy, hard day at work to a house full of preschooler and toddlers, and he never complains. In fact, I think he kind of likes it ;)

-On that preschool topic- he plays with the kids, and is soooo good with him. He's so ready to be the BEST DAD ever

-He's never too stubborn to say he's sorry

-He's hilarious. And he thinks I'm hilarious too.

-He incourages me to take "me" time and relax or scrapbook. That rocks

-He reads to baby almost every night.

-He gets along with my brothers and parents soooooo well. Sometimes too well, it can be like having a third brother.......

-He's patient with me when I try to understand baseball

-He always tells me he loves me and gives me kisses

I could go on and on. But those are just some of the reasons my hubby is the best.
I love you Steve- hope you have a FABULOUS birthday, and that you enjoyed those bday pancakes! ;)

10 songs that make me remember......

This is inspired by Elizabeth's CJ topic. But we had to pick only 3 songs. At first I wasn't sure what to pick- but then quickly realized how many songs I could list!!! So here are 10 that I randomly picked

The Next Episode- Dr. Dre and Snoop Dog
This is one of the all time best college/party songs EVER. whenever i hear this song i just want to bust out a little c-walking. not that i ever knew how. but thats what the music makes me want to do. freshman and sophmore year in isla vista we would hear this song every weekend night (thursday - saturday) and would know thats where the party was at. the best part is the very end when EVERYONE tries to sing that last line in time. so fun

Ladies Night- Lil' Kim, Missy Elliot, DaBrat and other fabulous rappin women
My highschool girlfriends would probably tell you I totally overplayed this song. But i loved it! I was all about our "Ladies' Nights" when the girls would get together and get into trouble (ok, maybe not really get into trouble- but we'd have fun!) and every mixed-tape I would make (before CD burning was around) it would have this song. Just reminds me of hanging out with my ladies :)

Shoop- Salt n Pepa
SO seventh grade. And one of the first songs I memorized every word to. Makes me think of 7th grade dances, when all the girls would be seperated from all the boys, and we'd sing this song. LOVE it

California Girls- Beach Boys
The Beach Boys are the first musical group that I ever got into. In second grade. My friends and I totally thought this song was all about us- we were afterall "California Girls." I remember trying to sing this song word for word at sleepovers, and the night my parents went to a Beach Boys concert and didnt' bring me. It was at Shoreline ampitheater, which was notorious for being "too loud"- so I sat up in my treehouse with my best friend Jessica and we SWORE we could hear them singing Califronia Girls.

Better Together- Jack Johnson
I could list pretty much every Jack Johnson song here and have it make me think of something- but this particular song will always have the most meaning to me. It was Steve and my first dance at our wedding. We took dance classes and learned a rhumba to it. We practiced everynight for weeks- and it came out perfectly when we performed it. Oh how i Love the Jack man. and the song. We can still do the dance. And we're still better together.....

Pretty Woman- Roy Orbison
Cheeseburger in Paradise- Jimmy Buffet
Red-headed Stranger- Willie Nelson
Unchained Melody- The Righteous Brothers
Just a few of the songs that make me think of my Dad. We'd be driving around in Pancho (now my trusty green suburban) and when any of these songs came on- or he'd stick them in the CD player- my dad would turn it up FULL BLAST and sing on the top of his lungs!!!! We used to pretend to be embarassed or annoyed, but my brothers and I got a total kick out of it. And I always thought it was sweet when he would sing Unchained Melodies to my mom :) If it werent' for my dad, I wouldn't have learned to appreciate nearly as much music as I do today.

End of the Road- Boys II Men
This song was played at the end of every dance, and the one I remember most is the end of the 8th grade promotion dance. No longer in Junior High- moving up to big old High School. and we all cried. such drama. But i still love this song. Fitting for the last song on my short list.

So many other songs I could list. Seriously. But these are just a few that come to mind. Super fun cj topic Elizabeth- thanks!!!!

i watch trash

yep. i'm embarassed to admit it. i feel the need to cover my belly button so baby doesn't see what i'm watching.
let me back up
wednesday nights steve plays softball w/some friends from his school.
i used to go to yoga, but this whole preggo thing? yeah, ashtanga yoga+preggo me=not gonna happen.
so its my night to veg.
make mac & cheese (w/hotdogs and peas- YUM)
and watch my tivo-ed trash.
since most of my regular shows haven't started yet (and they are on WAY past my bedtime, but thats another post) i just watch trash.
embarassed to admit that i am in love with The Girls Next Door. so fun to watch. but when i think about it, its freakin disgusting! i mean, hugh hefner is 80 freakin years old. he could be like his girlfriends grandpa- even great grandpa! and- there is THREE of them!!!!! um, ew? thats just gross
but all that aside- the show cracks me up! and the fact that these girls are ok with the situation, really intrigues me. (sorry, don' t think i spelled that right, don't feel like spell checking to find out.......)
i guess i really just don't get it, so it amuses me. kinda like my whole liking to read about psychopath serial killers.
i think i'm just really weird.
i also just started watching Nip/Tuck. that show is like a porno. seriously. thats really when i cover the belly botton- baby is SO not allowed to watch this show!
and then, i watch my tivo-ed trash shows, and by the time i'm done- its time for shower and bed.
oh goodness, what has my life become? i'm bare foot and pregnant, eatin mac and cheese, watching trash on the toob.
but only wednesday nights..........

Happy Birthday Jill!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so twopeas is being stupid and not letting me post!!!!!! i'm gonna try again in minute, but i thought i'd at least put it up here so that Jill know's that i'm thinking of her on her bday and wishing her a happy bday!!!!!!
Here's your "Sweet 16" bday layout :)

it didn't come out atallllll like i originally planned, but i think it works. i used the red and blue from the pic, AC pp, lil davis letter stickers, hs chipboard numbers, ghost flowers, and sei brads. oh, and sp purkey font. i painted the edge of the pp, the pic and the flowers. well, all but one of the flowers.

Jill- i hope you have a fabulous bday and enjoy all your fun layouts!!! Thanks Darcy for coming up wtih such a fab idea and including me :)

and i hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!!!!!

do you want to know a secret??

i just finished reading The Red Dragon- the prequel to Silence of the Lamb. For the third time. Friday night we rented the movie. i love reading books then watching the movie. most of the time the book is better. for this one, i think that they complement each other- and i actually like the movie's ending better than the book. now i'm reading Silence of the Lamb. i loooooooooove the super duper scary books and movies about serial killers.
and this is where my secret comes in.......
i've always secretly wanted to be an FBI agent. Behavioral Science. Like Clarice in Silence of the Lamb. maybe i'm psycho, and its not like i'm ever going to pursue this dream. But the psychopathic criminal mind total intrigues me. I think its because, generally, i consider myself a pretty empathetic person. i usually understand people- get them. but those serial killers? not so much. and i want to understand. ok- not that i think its ok, or want to be like them or anything. i just don't understand their thinking at all. its like they aren't human. and some argue that they aren't. and i want to figure out why. i think the fact that a horrible childhood can turn a good person into evil- so interesting. makes sense. but still very interesting
i don't think i'd be a very good FBI agent though. guns freak the bejubbles out of me. i'd cry every time i messed up. i'd get tired. i can't do the all night steak outs or stay up all night trying to crack the code. and i don't like the idea of psychopaths wanting to kill me. and you have to be in super good shape. yeah, i'm only in super good shape when i get married ;)
but in theory, it'd be super cool.
until then, i'll stick to reading books about them...........

Biye Bye Bruce

This is Bruce

Bruce was my first car. He was a fabulous car. drove me around my junior and senior years of highschool, and my first few years at college and in santa barbara. i've been through a lot with this guy. stupid boyfriends and broken hearts. girls nights out. LOTS of roadtrips. we actually drove him out to california from iowa, where he was bought when my parents OTHER old bmw was driven into a pole by a drunk car fixer car. oops. anyways. my dad always made sure that i knew it was HIS car he was letting ME drive. but i pimped my car all out girly-style. i had the hula girl on the dashboard, lei's hanging from the window, the back window full of random beanie babies (that i never bought myself, by the way, people just got me them. hmm) and junk. good for the kiddos i would babysit. anyways, so bruce was a very girl car. he was mine ;) i bought an awesome cd changer radio w/my highschool graduation money (shouldn't that money have gone to college supplies? whoops). when i got to college, bruce didnt' make the adjustment very well. the damn battery died sooooooooooo many times. grrrrrr. very frustrating. and the stupid dorm that i lived in (FT for those in the know) kept TOWING him. even though i paid for a gosh darn shop! drama. but bruce took me to my first job being an "adult", bruce took me on dates with my now husband. omg, bruce is where i first told steve i loved him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh wow, now i'm going to cry...............

anyways, we sold bruce yesterday. granted, i havent' driven him in YEARS. i am now the proud owner of a 1997 green CHEVY suburban- Pancho Verde (translated to Frank Green). My cousin Brian- the marine, drove bruce for a few years. managed to "manly" him up. but then he was given back and my dad told me we should sell it. The money we get goes right to baby, so it was good timing. Just very bittersweet. I had to move bruce the other night and realized that this would be the last time i drove him. i MADE myself get out and not take him on a joy ride. i've been a little emotional recently and do not need to become a blubbering idiot over a freakin car. but he was a good car.

So, here's to you Bruce- may you enjoy this next chapter in your life ;)

(ok, and whats almost as good as a three day weekend? a FOUR DAY WORK WEEK! woo hoo! its the weekend again! y'all have a fantabulous one!)

i'm bringing sexy back.............

(more like bringing the budda belly back, but whatever- i'm just loving that song right now)
so, i say we talk to someone about making all weekends three day weekends. i know i'm not the first to come up with this amazing idea, but i'll be the first to put it into action. i say i just call up the president- he's the one i should call, right? and let him know that this is what the american people want. three day weekends every week. four day work weeks. i'm ok with working an extra hour those four days (even though steve pointed out it should be two hours. i told him to not burst my bubble). so that i can have a three day weekend.
needless to say- i had a fabulous laborday weekend. so much fun!!!! got SO much done. it went by WAY to fast. actually, life has been going by way to fast recently.
anyways, friday night we had a date night- i wore my new super cute, super expensive, and super worth it- sevens maternity jeans. i felt cute for the first time in forever.

like i said, totally worth it. we went to a new italian resturant in encinitas, i think it was called fresco or something. it was yummy, would have been fabulous with a glass of vino but baby doesn't do vino. then we went and saw the movie that everyone has been raving about Little Miss Sunshine. and i must say, i agree with everyone. it was really good, and cute, and funny. and- i'll admit it- i cried. once cause i was all touched by a sibling bonding moment, and the rest of the time from laughing. fun fun.
saturday- all day was spent running errands. and it was HOT. and it made me tired. and then i cried when i realized the shrimp i was going to use for dinner had gone bad. so we ordered pizza and i was happy :) i also got my scrap on!!!!!! so fun. here are the three lo's i did. the first two were honeymoon ones:

Just Heaven. The hotel we stayed at in San Luis Obispo, the Madonna Inn, has themed rooms. this was just heaven. it was all blue and gold and gaudy, but so fun. and i was wearing my sexy blue lingere, but it seriously was a coincidence! not the most fab lo, but its done!

this was a super duper simple one. just wanted to perserve the memory of how chaotic my house was when we got home after the wedding. all the gifts, all the packig and unpacking. craziness. super simple, like i said.

this is my fav by far. don't know if any of you read the poem my friend wrote me, so cute, so i had to do a layout on it! its funny, a few people commented on the pink wondering if i was thinking baby was a girl. i was doing pink cause i was wearing pink in the picture, and cause hey- i'm a girl, so why not. don't want to jinx anything, so i'm going to say what i think baby is......

so fun to get scrapping done!!!! sunday and monday morning was spent mostly finishing the garage. and its finally done!!!!!!!!!!!!

yep yep, very stoked to have that done. we're going to have the kids play in it today, and i know they'll love it.
not the best pic, i know. here's a close up one of my favorite area. there's the kitchen, baby doll area, and dress up area (behind the shelves). (and i know, i totally should have taken before pics. oh well) fun stuff.......

monday afternoon we had good friends over and barbequed. loves it. lots of work done, but lots of fun done too. seee, all weekends should be three days. um, now whats the presidents phone number?
