100th post

this is serious! this is super exciting. and i was going to do something so awesome for this milestone post..................... but i didn't. what can i say, i'm lazy. and besides, when i "plan" a post too much i don't do it. then i don't blog. and whats the point of having a blog if you don't blog, right???

so first off, got to give a shout out to Armond, Muriel's husband. He threw a fabulous bday bash for Muriels 25th bday this past saturday. He took a few couples to SeaWorld. STOKED! I haven't been there since I was 12. We had lots of fun, saw Shamu (which in case you didn't know, is not the original Shamu. She died. and yes, Shamu was a female. she had babies. but anywyas, i'm pretty upset about this Shamu scandal......) saw dolphins- and got to pet them!!!! Saw sharks (yep, totally scared of them. part of the reason i'm scared of the ocean) polar bears, sealions, beluga whales (baby beluga in the deep blue sea! who remembers this song? love it. love raffi) no penguins : ( but it was good times. the only line we waited in was for lunch, cause we're dumba$$es and went to lunch right after the Shamu show along with the 300 other people in the audience. afterwards we went to Benihanna's for dinner. i've never been there before, been to similar style resturants, but never Benihannas. um- YUM. soooo freakin good. so much fun. Muriels friends were hysterical. The waiter Spencer defiently thought we were all crazy. fun fun. always fun to hang out with new groups of friends. So thats my shout out to Armond- thanks again : )
and bummed i missed Monica when she was in town. next time, when you come w/Felicia, we'll meet up and scrap and drink and it will be fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!
and really, thats all i have to blog about.
oh, and my friend didnt' get a pic with Bow. dang. but apparently he's a nice guy, and he was text-messageing with some one who calls themselves "ms. kitty." interesting. whats with all the animal names? not like i should talk, but still.......
scrapped a little this weekend. made muriel her bday page here. did work on the cj, and the page sucked so bad, soooooooooooooooo i have to re-do. i didn't get it till last week, so i wasn't putting it off till last minute! and i was going to finish last night but then this lady i was supposed to meet with didn't show up and i was all sad so i just pouted and went to bed. not the best excuse, i know.......
ok, so thats my random fabulous 100th post. hope you all enjoyed : )

a few things..........

thought i'd take this time to let you know my opinoin on a few "pop culture" current affairs...........

britney spears interview with matt lauer. yep, i tivo-ed it. and oh my goodness, what was she thinking? horrible. i'm officially over britney spears. i was never that into her before, but this interview, horrible. besides the fact she looked horrible (seriouisly, who wears a see-thru maternity shirt????) she talked like an idiot. she's dumb. and thats what i think of that..........

angelina jolie's interview with anderson cooper. that, on the otherhand, was a pretty good interview. i think i'm back to being a angelina fan. she actually sounds smart when she talks, and her baby is freakin adorable! (not that there was much doubt in my mind that it wouldn't be, but ya know........)

movies. good movie i just saw- Million Dollar Baby. I know, i know, sooooooo two years ago. but i FINALLY got to see it. borrowed it from my cousin amanda (thanks cuz!). i knew what was going to happen at the end, but not HOW. ok, that will only make sense if you've seen the movie and i don't want to ruin it for anyone else. anyways, great movie. i cried. i love hilary swank, and clint eastwood is a manly man.
bad movie i just saw. Closer. wtf is that? horrible horrible horrible. doesn't even make sense. stupid. don't waste your time. may have had a good cast, but the storyline-ugh.

i should be a movie reviewer for magazines, don't you think?

so thats my little spiel on that.

now on to scrapbooking

there have been so many awesome dares and inspirations recently. make me want to get my scrap on. i check The Dares and recently How Much is Too Much too see whats new. love it all, and want to do them as well. but i haven't had the time. grrrrr. and when i finally do get my scrap on, its for "required" scrapbooking. like for cj's i'm working on, or bday stuff, or whatever. which are great- i love love love them. just sucks that i don't have time for scrapbooking. i need my weekends back!!!!!! my next fully free weekend with nothing planned? august. damn.
oh, and question- is 2peas ridiculously slow for anyone else? whenever i leave a comment or praise or whatever, it takes FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this would be the reason i don't comment on 2peas much. so annoying.
so i guess in conclusion, i just want you all to know that i still love scrapbooking and i can't wait to get back in the swing of things. love all the dares, everyones layouts, and yeah. maybe i should plan a scrapbooking weekend. muriel, michelle, jessie, anyone down? it couldn't be till august though.....................

have a fantabulous weekend everyone! i 'm sooooooooooooo ridiculously stoked that its friday. cause then just one more week, then a week of vacation and i get to see my family woooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

summertime.............

and the livin's easy

being the first official day of summer, i thought i'd make a list of some of my favorite summer memories

1. 4th of July. one of my favorite all time holidays. soo much fun. no stress involved. always lots and LOTS of good foon, and (when i got older) good drinks ; ) and fun people. love making fruit salads and bbqing. love the parades when i was little. seeing all the cousins by the dozens. sooo fun

2. going to iowa to see the family. my brothers and i would be SOOOOOOOOOO excited!!! both sides of the family lived in iowa, about three hours apart. my dad's side is WAY bigger, but both sides were so much fun!!!!
loved the sleepovers with my cousins
all the games we would play
going to the movies, that were sooo super cheap
going to hardees. didn't have that in cali
the big family gatherings. so much fun!!!!
oh! and don't forget the fire flies. lightning bugs. whatever you call them. we don't have those in cali either! we would catch them and make jewelry out of them. which is, now that i think about it, so freakin gross. but we thought it was a great time!!!
ice cream at the tastee freeze or dairy queen!!!! mmmmm. niether of those were close to my home either!
corn on the cob. seriously doesn't get any better than the corn in iowa. mmmm mmm good : )

3. the long days. seirously. awesome. still one of my favorite parts. i remember playing outside till dark, then it was time for bed! i think i would try to stay up later, but it wouldn't work.....

4. the summer breaks. that rocked. seriously, 3 months of no school??? just hanging out and having fun? what could be better? and now steve still gets them, so i get to have him home with me all summer!!!!! so fun for me, probably not so much for him (yeah, the whole "honey-do" list gets a mile long.................)

5. all the bbq's. of course the 4th is the best, but all the other ones are fab. love bbq chicken and corn on the cob. steaks. whatever. and its so much easier to clean up!!!

6. makes me want to relax in the hammock, reading a book and sipping a nice cool glass of chardonay (and i'm not a huge white wine drinker. only in the summer do i "crave" it)

7. ice cream!!!! sure, you can eat it all year round. and i do. but its the best in the summer, when its hot outside and all cold and melty. mmmm

8. end of the school year activities. loved them all . the fieldtrips and picnics, and all the yearbook signing. awwww, i miss that ; )

9. popsicles. i dont' eat those all year. thats for sure. but they're yummy cool treats : )
(and i wonder why i always gain weight in the summer and not over the holidays???)

10. its relaxing. you get a break. when i was little, a break from school. from life at home. and now, its still a break. a break from cooking in the kitchen every day. (bbq!!!) a break from my tv shows. as much as i love them, its nice to not be glued to the tv every night. a break from being home alone all day (love having steve here!). its like 3 months a year where everything is more relaxed. and thats awesome ; )

*notice how none of my summer memories had anything to do with the beach? just cause i'm a cali girl, doesn't mean that i'm a huge beach lover! don't like all the sand, getting soo hot in the sun, i'm scared of the ocean, and i don't have a rockin bikini body (too much ice cream and popsicles!!!!!). just thought i'd point that out!!!

now tell me y'all, your favorite summer memory???

your questions- finally answered ; )

ok, so this is ridiculously long. i was thinking of making it into two posts, but nah- i'm too lazy. so if you read the whole thing- you are the shiznit!

Hailey
humm...questions....
what are you doing while you scrap? listening to music, TV, or just focused on the page?

It depends. My scraproom has a tv and my computer w/music. Sometimes I have music on, or the tv on as backround noise. But I’ve noticed that recently I forget about either of those and just focus on the page. But one day I want to get a dvr in my scraproom so I can watch some shows and scrap : )
I always wonder about other scraps and what is going on while they are creating pages...and for a non-SB related question...
how did you and Steve meet?
Do you really want to know? Hmmm. Guess I can admit it. You all know about my drunken fiasco’s by now. It was 5 years ago this past may. I was partying it up with my girlfriends in Isla Vista (UCSB college town in Santa Barbara) we all had a looooooooooot to drink. Julia was taking to this guy that apparently I found attractive. I walked up to him and announced “hey billabong, you’re sexy- can I kiss you?” and I did kiss him without waiting for a response. Awwww, how romantic……… theres a little more too it, but that’s basically how I met my sexy hubby : ) see- tequila shots ARE good for something ;)

Angie
where are you going to be in IOWA so we can find a good meeting point?
Don’t know if this counts for a question. But I’ll be in DeWItt Iowa, which is Clinton county. The biggest town nearby is Davenport- the quad cities!!! I know it’s a 3 hour drive to Miliwake (totally f-ed that spelling up) and 3 hours to Chicago. Is that any help? Oh! and the zip code where i'll be is 52742. How that will help, i'm not sure....

Jamie
how long have you had your tongue pierced?
8 years. Holy shizzzzzzzzzzzle. That’s long. Got it when I was 18, and after I had broken up with a boyfriend who didn’t like them. What guy doesn’t want a girlfriend to get her tounge pierce? Whatever. Now it’s a size 4. I like everything big……. and no, i don't plan on taking it out anytime soon. unless i have to.
what's your favorite red wine?
I’m really into Pinot Noirs right now, and Cabernets. Love Toasted Head Cabernet sauvignon. My favorite wine I’ve ever had was a super fancy smancy bottle from 1981 that my dad saved for me when i was born. How did he know I’d be a wino? Don’t remember the name though, cause I dind’t need to- not like I’d ever be able to afford another bottle! But i believe it was from France, the Margquex area........
what's your favorite alcoholic drink?
Red wine. Then white wine. Then margaritas. Love me my tequila! it also depends on what i'm doing. love Bud Light at a baseball game or bbq. Tequila when i want to party it up, and wine when ever ; )
how close do you live to jessie? :)
we live about an hour an a half to two hours apart, depending on traffic. I ‘m guessing- I’ve never been to her house, but to that area that’s about the time. See, LA has this insanity that is traffic that adds like an hour to everywhere you want to go. Probably could get there in less time if there were no other cars on the road……….
But she grew up in the same neighborhood as my husband, and they went to the same highschool. They are a couple years a part, so they didn’t know each other, but they know siblings and friends siblings, etc. crazy small world!
if you could scrap like anyone, who would it be?
Jessie : ) she’s my scrapbook idol. Cause she’s so cool and fun, too. I also love becky Higgins. I know her style is pretty tame, but she always has such great lo’s with lots of pictures (and that’s more my style). I also love elise, heidi, ali, the dare ladies, and most all of my twopea girls. Wait, now I’m just getting crazy……..
if i bought you a monkey, what would you name it?
bob
best feature on a man?
Hands. I like manly hands. And eyes. Sexy eyes. How come boys always get the best eyelashes???? Here’s hoping our offspring gets steve’s eyelashes (but my eyesight- 20/20 baby!)

Chriselda
am i a midwest babe?
I don’t’ know. I always think of the mid west as iowa and Illinois and Wisconsin, but its much larger than that. So sure, you’e a Midwest babe. You’re definelty a babe!
how many piercings do you have?
At the moment 13. the most I’ve had at once- 17, been pierced 23 times. And a handful of those times were by yours truly……………
what do you use on every.single.scrappy.page? besides glue. (if there is anything)
paper. Duh. Other than that, I don’t’ know. Recently been into stickers again. Trying to get into stamping, but I kinda suck at it……..
are you lactose intolerant?
yes, as a matter of fact I am.
who's your main hollywood man?
jake gyllenhall. He’s dead sexy
and if you were to "bat for the other team" what actress would do it for you?
See, I used to say Angelina jolie. Then the whole bradelina thing came about, don’t know what I think about that……….

Wendy
Where are you coming in the midwest?
Already answered this I believe
Are you going to come to CHA in Chicago(I'm guessing no since the dates you listed don't coincide)? No, I wish. I don’t have any CHA hookups. Le sigh
Do you think you could be preschool teacher for the rest of your life?
Yep till I retire. Or win the lottery. but considering i never play the lottery, i'm gonna say till i retire........
Who is the most inspirational person in your life?
A lot of people really. Of course my parents. They overcame a lot and worked really hard to get to where they are today. My mom is amazing, has dealt with so much in her life that I don’t think I could handle. Wouldn’t be who I was if it wasn’t for them
My old boss tami inspired me to do what I’m doing today. Love me my chi chi girl!
My cousin Amanda is an amazing woman too. She’s been through a lot, but is so incredibly positive and appreciative of what she has. And she’s good times : )
Steve. My hubby. Cause he’s smart. and sexy. and freakin motivated!!!!!

Niki
Tell us a story about an embarassing moment for you!!
I have a lot of embarrassing moments. Heres one that’s really not that bad, happened when I was eight, but I’ll never ever forget it.
I was in line with my best friend waiting ot go outside for recess. And I had to go the bathroom. So I tell Jessica (cause that’s what girls do, right? Let their girlfriend know when they got to go so they can all go together). Apparently,I said it a little loud and announce to a majority of Mrs. Larson’s second grade class “I have to go tinkle” and the cute/asshole boy of the class made SOOOOOOOOOO much fun of me! God, I remember the feeling of my cheeks burning up. How embarrassing. Everything else embarrassing that happened to me was to be blamed on alcohol, so I really wasn’t all that embarrassed… sure thats not what you were looking for- but its what i thought of!

Jessie
what is your favorite red wine to drink lately?
I’ve been playing around a lot recently and buying different wines each tiem. But I recently have gotten into Wilson Creek Winery’s Pinot Noir and Pinot Mour (pronounced- pee- no- more. Lol). Don’t know where to buy it besides the winery though……
what is your favorite childhood memory?
I have lots and lots. Luckily, I had a great childhood! Lots involving family trips to iowa, Colorado, and some just kicking it at home. My dad used to take all three of us upstairs on his back when we were little. I was first, chris was on my back, then greg on his back. Talk about fun!!!!! We would giggle and try to not fall off. Really, I don’t know how my dad did it………….
what do you want to name your future kids?
Well, for a girl : Jessica Kathryn. That’s a name that steve and I have for sure agreed on. Then another girl, Julia. For boys, I love the name Joseph and Andrew. Steve hasn’t really agreed with those names yet. But anyways, I like the classic names best : )

Jill
Calif. seems so foreign to me, being a midwest gal. i've traveled to some different places, but never to your neck of the woods.
what do you love about living there?

Um, whast not to love? Its gorgeous here. We have the beach and the mountains driving distance (the beach being WAY closer, but still) I love that we’re near “hollywood” and that its this almost famous state, but that no one realizes there is soooo much more!! Seriously, you have huge mountains and redwoods, snow and skiing, the desert, the beaches that are insane, the cities, the boon docks. WINE COUNTRY. Cali is awesome, its like its onwn little country. I grew up in the Bay area (nor cal) but moved to Santa Barbara for college, and now am in San Diego (you don’t get much more south) and I love it here best. The weather is awesome all year. I may complain about the marine layer, but seriously- that’s nothing. And the vibe here, so relaxed. L ove it
what don't you like about it?
The only thing is prices- its RIDICULOUS!!!!! And there is also a down side to having the LA/Hollywood thing. Everyone is so into be super duper skinny and fake and wearing expensive clothes. That can suck. But whatever, I just ignore them and drink my vino ; )
do earthquakes freak you out?!
Nope. I’ve been in a quite a few, including the big quake of 89. I like that we don’t have warning and they happen so rarely, especially the big ones (were talking decades people) that its really nothing to worry about. Seriously, I’m terrified of tornados. I’ve been in my share of warnings and watches, and I don’t’ understand how people can be afraid of California cause of earthquakes!!!!! Seriously, of every place in the country, cali has the least to worry about in natural disasters (imho)
where are your favorite places/things to do in free time?! besides the wine, of course ;)
free time? Whats that???? Seriously, I have had no free time to do anything! seriously, what am i going to do when i have kids? When I’m sitting around doing nothing- that means something should be getting done! (right now, laundry and grocery shopping, and I’m straving and should eat some lunch) but I love scrapbooking (duh) and I do love photography, but I no longer have a nice camera (really really really want the rebel- Christmas present perhaps???) love reading magazines. Some favs are Creating Keepsakes, actually most scrapbooking magazines, people, US, Parents (I know I’m not a parent, but I have the preschool and its full of great info for me! I know, I’m so weird………..) I also love to cook. Love me Rachel Ray. She rocks. But once again, when do I have the time???? And I do like to work out. Really, I do. But only when I’m not tired. That’s when it really sucks

Baddgerdaddy
Do you have any favourite badgers, at all?
Um, aren’t badgers scary mean animals?

Monica
when are you coming back down to AZ???
currently discussing a possible visit in the fall. And maybe Sedona for spring break next year. I’ll keep you updated……….
I love asking questions since I'm such a mitotera! HA!- why don't you drink caffeine?
Gave it up cause of headaches and sensitive stomach. I have both those problems, and caffeinie is supposed to be bad for both, so I though- might as well not drink it then! I think I may have been dieting too….-
what kind of car do you drive?
Pancho Verde, aka Frank Green. A big ole green suburban. Yes, a gas guzzler. But I actually need a car this big. Why you ask? Hello, preschool fieldtrips! I can fit 6 kids IN carseats in that bad boy. And you don’t get much safer than pancho. Nope, no one f’s w/pancho. And don’t’ worry, I don’t’ drive him that much since I work at home, so I don’ t have to fill up often. But did you know that gas pumps stop at $75? Yep. I can’t even fill up pancho’s tank all the way in one sitting. That’s the only part that sucks……-
do you have any regrets?
I really doin’t believe in regrets. At the time, its right for me. I've never done something thinking- "i'm gonna regret this......." The one thing I do regret is not going on this European trip the summer after highschool with my girlfriend, basically cause of a boyfriend. There were also health issues, but I choose to blame the stupid abusive ex. So that’s my one regret.

Brandy
What type of wine do you drink? Do you have a favorite type of wine(Red, White, Reisling, etc.)?
Guess I really am known as a wino in the blgo world ; )
Once again, I love my reds. Love pinots and cabs. But I enjoy a good bottle of any wine, really, though I’m not too found of super sweet wines.
What is your favorite room in your house and why.
Hmmmm. Well, my bedroom is the only room that is actually almost all the way decorated and matching. And its wear I get to sleep, and of course “where the magic happens” so I guess I’ll say that room. It also is attached to our bathroom, which has my big old bathtub which I LOVE!!!!!
What room does all the magic (the scrap magic) happen in?
The office. Steve and I share. And there is literally a line where my junk stops and his neatness begins. Pretty funny really. Right now I’m taking over his side, too. Not much room for steve o!
Where do ya wanna meet in Iowa?
Trying to find a good place that’s half way to see angie and barb and em, so I’m thinking its going to be like a random scrapbook store in illionois? Maybe I’m totally off. I don’t’ have a map in front of me

Muriel
what is your favorite type of wine?
Red : ) see above questions
what do you hate to clean?
Everything. Seriously. But mostly the showers in the bathroom. Ugh.
what thing do you cook the most?
Cook a lot of chicken, salmon, and pastas
what is your favorite candle smell?
my best friend got me the most amazing candle for a house warming gift. Honeysuckle by votive. It seems sooooo freakin good, and you don’t even have to light it to smell it.
Do you kill plants?
Um, sometimes. But doesn’t matter cause my hubbys’ got a GREEN THUMB. So I just buy plants I like and he takes care of them : )
Do you like milk or dark chocolate?
Both. Mmmmm chocolate……………..

Elizabeth
why did you choose to work with kids???
Cause I love them! They’re so freaking cute and funny. No matter what, I will laugh at least once a day when working with kids. And apparently I’m rather good at it. So it works : )
what is the craziest thing you did as a result of too much vino?
Oh goodness. Vino alone, I don’t know. And ya know, I really don’t know the answer to this. I do a lot of crazy things, how to name the craziess? Let me think about it.
how did you and your man meet?
Well, that was a crazy story- result of too much tequila!
when will there be pitterpatters?
Hopefully super duper soon!!!! check back in a month or two..........
If you could go one place(NOT the midwest!) where would it be?
That’s hard to answer just one. But I guess I really want to go to austrailia. That’d be awesome. I want to hold a koala bear and jump with a kangaroo : )
so GLAD you're up an running. i need to busta move on my cj.. and get it sent out!!ps//question,,,when do I get my RACK????? Oops, forgot about that. Seriously. I didn’t think you ever got my message that you were getting one. I’ll get on it, I promise………….

Caroline

little bow wow..........

i just don't know, how you move so fast across the floo.......

this is a shout out to my best friend jessica. she works for universal pictures and does PR for them. they currently have a movie "the fast and the furious" tokoyo edition or something ridiculous like that (i really didn't think the first one was good enough to merit a second, but what do i know) any ways, staring in this movie is Bow Wow. formerly know as "lil' bow wow." and part of jessica's duties are hanging out with Bow (which is apparently how he likes to be refered to) and his entourage. i personally get a total kick out of picturing my best friend jessica, this sweet innocent blond girl, hanging out with a 19 year old rapper and his posse. I told her she MUST get a picture, and i will be sure to share if she does!!!!!

anyways, i have the answers to all my "blog" questions filled out, just need to look for some pictures to add. and recently, life has made an unexpected turn so i've been a little crazy busy (on top of my already crazy business, which i think i must just make up. i seriously don't know how i'm always so busy doing nothinhg) so i haven't had the time to put into searching for pics. but its coming soon! and i'll fill y'all in soon too.

also, word of advice to anyone mailing something to canada. don't claim its worth more then $20 or they may end up charging the recieving party $73.48. Thats what happened this last time i sent the cj to my bloggin babe friend Val up in cananda. um, whoops! who woudl have thought? don't worry, i'm making sure she won't have to pay the money, and next time i'm saying that the package costs $20!!!

this is a super short and lame post, but better than nothing.
and i'm still singing the bow wow song...............

star, star, 94.1!

the end of a long, exhausting day (as usual). the 4 remaining kids were drawing with chalk on the ground outside, about to clean up. i was sitting and watching them, pondering those deep questions of life, when all of the sudden "star, star - 94.1!" little mandy busts out a local radio station jiggle. omg, i bust out laughing. it was sooooooooooooooooo incredibly random, and so funny. maybe you had to be there, but it was one of those moments that make me remember why i love my job. right now its frustrating that i can't find a decent assistant, and i'm all alone all day, and i'm super tired by the end, but the kids still crack me up and i love them : )

so we had gorgeous weather all last week. now its june gloom. : ( booooooo to june gloom!!!! yeah, the marine layer was so heavy last night it looks like it rained. grrr. i need to get my tan on people, not happening when stupid june gloom clouds are covering mr. sunshine.

anyways, i wanted to post a layout i did recently, and michelles cj entry. so if no one wants to see it, close their eyes!!!! i already posted it on 2peas.
so for michelles i had to go to a starbucks and dedicate a chair to michelle and "cj it up." but see, i don't drink caffeine, don't really go to starbucks that often (though when i DID drink caffeine, that was one of my favs. loooooved the fracpacinos -sp?-) so i felt silly going in there. had no one to drag with me so i didn't feel quite so silly snapping pics of their chairs, but its cool. i did it very discretly........... and i ordered some sort of non-caffeine chocolate blend milkshake type drink. it was alright. there were a lot of chairs to chose from. at first i was eyeing this big ole comfy chair, then i saw the chair with the desk. i knew it was meant to be. total scrapbooking desk. i feel like i've heard michelle mention scrapbooking at starbucks before. but maybe that was just a park. but anyways, i thought it was perfect!!!!
so thats the story of michelles' cj. if you want to know what i used, click on the pic and it will take you to 2peas where i have it mostly written down . (ETA ok, and blogger is sucking hard core and won't let me post any pics of my lo's!!!!!!!!!!!!! i've been trying all yesterday and today. grrrr. so just click here to see it. sorry y'all)

next is a layout i did using this journaling. i had all these fabulous ideas for the layout. saw one by ali edwards in ck mag 2 months ago that i was planning on lifting. love the dare to use non-scrapbook stuff. even bought these fab stamps from fontwerks just for it (thanks jamie!). tried to mix it all up, but it dind' t come out how i wanted AT ALL. i actually re-did the whole layout basically (thats why you don't see the stamp. f-ed that one up) and nows its kinda boring. but whatever. my fav part is the envelope. the purplish circle around the flower? yep, thats a wine stain. i used the envelope as a coaster for my glass of vino one night, and it left the prettiest stain. so i knew i had to use it. then when i saw the dare, i was like- here we go. but not so much. sat on my scrap table for weeks. finally i was like, ok, i'll just post it and be done with it for now. i need to put the date on somewhere. but yeah, this is it for now: once again, stupid blogger. click here

grrrrr. computers and blogger can make me a very angry chica sometimes. seriously, two days to post one entry, and it doesn't even have the pictures i wanted? the WHOLE reason i was posting???? grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
anyways, not gonna let it get me down.
i'll leave you all with this quote i just read in the paper from Jon Stewart
"the internet is just a world passing notes around in a classroom"

oh, and can someone please explain to me how al gore invented the internet????

DaVinci Codes, wine tasting, and lazy Sundays.......

first off, guess i should clarify my whole "mid-west" thing. I tend to forget that the midwest is kinda a big place, not just Iowa, Illinois and Wisconsin. Sorry, its my cali-girl ditziness coming out ; )
I'm going to Iowa to visit my family (they moved there after I graduated highschool. I have never lived in Iowa) for the fourth of July. They live in a small town called DeWitt, Iowa, right near the mississippi river and Illinois. Thats where I'll be. Email me if you're close enough to meet up, and hopefully we can work something out!!!!! (though my week is already pretty booked. thats what happens when you have 26 + cousins that you never get to see............)
Ok, so thats cleared up. Whew.

so, its a lazy sunday. soooooooooo nice. the house is all cleaned cause we finally found an affordable, fabulous cleaning lady! so now i can actually have lazy days and not feel bad. and remember- i don't have time to be lazy during the week!!!!
we're about to go for a walk around the neighborhood, cause its such a gorgeous day. Too hot to go hiking, but a nice stroll will do : )

Yesterday I went wine tasting with Muriel and her husband Armond. So much fun. and soooo freakin hot. it was 95 degrees in Temecula. good times. but it was nice and a lot of fun : ) yay for 2pea friends!!!!

Friday night I saw The DaVinci Codes. For those of you that don't know, thats my favorite book. Like ever. Seriously, I've read it so many times!!!!! I went on the websites, played all the little games, addicted (that was also when i wasn't working............) So i really wanted to see the movie, but was also kinda not sure what I was going to think. So here's what i thought:
Wasn't as good as the book. but are they ever? didn't deserve the really bad reviews though. but if i hadn't read the book, i think i would have been waaaaaaaaaay confused. tom hanks- ok. i still think that it should have been harrison ford (remember, he discribed himself as harrison ford in tweeds!). LOVED the actress they used for Sophie. She was too cute!!! Didnt' like the change to the end. I liked that the grand dude was her grandfather. Don't really know why the needed to change that. And what was with all the people that came when they found out Sophie was there at the end? Dumb. too hollywoodized. anyways, i could go on. already discussed with Steve, and then again with Muriel and Armond. Glad i saw it, wish it was a bit better, but it couldn't ever be as good as the book. and there is a LOT in that book. so if you haven't read the book- i reccomend it!!!! Dan Brown is my favorite author, too. So check out all his other books (all like 3 of them).

thats my schpill on that. love all the questions you guys asked. too much fun! if you have any more, add them- i'll post later this week. gonna go on our stroll, grocery shop and laundry- then scrapbook!!! Gots to finish Michelle's CJ (Send out is tomorrow Babes!!!!) and maybe some fun layouts too. Then the last Soprano's of the year! love that show.......

Have a fabulous Lazy Sunday y'all!!!!!

a little help please............

so, i have my blog up and running again- but for some reason i have nothing to blog about. well, i have some things, but i don't want to complain about how work sucks right now (having soooo much trouble finding a new assistant) and i don't have pictures and lo's to post, so yeah. i need a little help. i've seen other bloggers do this before: you guys ask me questions, and i'll answer. pretty simple really. just ask whatever. scrap related, non scrap related. that will give me something to blog about :)
i do have a few posts coming up, but i need pics and lo's first, so it has to be done at another time.

weathers been awesome here in so cal. almost too nice. so today we're doing water play. that always calms the kiddo-s down : ) and a few more interviews with assistants. hopefully i'll find a fabulous one soon! i'm dying here.........
