holy crazy life katwoman!!!!!
yes, i'm back, and yes, i've been back for awhile. my life just seemed to get even crazier!!!!! and i still don't really really have time to sit down and update y'all
so rigth now i wanted to do a supa dupa quick recap on my trip to HAWAII!!!!!!!
i had a FABULOUS time, here are some of the highlights and some fav pics

(yeah, i seriously gained 5 pounds purely from the alcohol. damn)
oh, and remember how i thought my tolerance would have completely gone down the drain? yeah, not so much. i could still party like a rock star- and thats why the 5 pounds of alcohol belly..........

it was cloudy/rainy most of the the trip, but first day we got there it was beautiful and sunny!!!!!
steve took me and kara out surfing, second time for both of us. yeah, i pretty much suck. but it was fun. except for all the "board burn" we got from the soft board. ouch! still have scabs on my body. defiently need to wear a rash guard for a reason, or at least not an itty bitty bikini......


the wedding was beautiful. my friend patty looked so gorgeous and happy!!!!! still getting used to my camera, so i didn't get very many good wedding shots, but i'm gonna get some from the photographer and i'll post them then. here's my fav i took though, i think its just such a pretty picture!!! ( i need to play with it on photoshop to make the colors better)


we did all the touristy things, the rehersal dinner was a luau, we were all about that


then we did a visit to the north shore. since steve is a surfer, it was his main thing he wanted to do. the waves weren't as big as they get, but it was cool for him to see it in person. he was telling me about growing up and watching all the surf movies and looking at the magazines and always wanting to come and visit.........

and sharks cove, it has really great snorkling but we didn't get to go cause it rained : (
we did get to go snorkling another day, aparently on the really kinda ghetto dangerous part of the island. we're lucky we didn't get our car broken into............ but we did see a turtle, so that was cool. then i started to freak out and worry about swimming into a shark so i decided to get out of the water- but its really hard to get out of the water in the flippers and with little waves so i totally got all tossed around and looked like a beach whaled much to the amusment of steve and kara. oh dude, and the amount of sand that was in my 'kini! yeah, i don't know about this whole snorkling thing........

first, had to show you all that i DID indeed get a tan. not crazy tan, but at least i wont' blind you. here's a pic of me playign pool in like my shortest skirt ever. the shirt actually isnt' low cut, its kinda loose, but since i'm bending over it totally looks that way. i look like a hood rat, ok, so maybe i am, but i just wanted to show y'all my new tanned legs : )

so its good to back, abeit incredibly psycho crazy busy and stressful. so maybe not really GOOD to be back, but yeah, i am. hopefully life will settle down a bit......

much needed vaca

i'm going to HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!! so freakin excited, y'all dont' even know. oh, and i'm going to my friends wedding, thats why i'm going. she lives ther, and when she called me last year to tell me she was engaged i was like- you BEST be getting married in hawaii, cause i need an excuse to go! ; )
so i'mm going to be MIA for about a week, hope you guys don't miss me too much. just know that i'll be working on tanning up my neon white legs
for those of you that don't believe me when i say that i'm going to be blinding people on the beaches, check this pic that was taken just last weekend at Petco's day at the park.......

yeah, that is just embarassing. i tried to do some pre-tanning so i wouldn't relaly blind anyone, and i burned my legs. damn

anyways, i'm so excited for this trip- i'mm gonna sleep in, i'm gonna party, i'm gonna sleep some more, i'm gonna be sippin my vino or whatever on the beaches {oh, and thats another thing- i have not had a sip of alcohol since the boys got here, thats been a month, and for me, not drinking for a month- well thats the longest i've ever gone with out a drink since i went away to college. looks like miss kat here is gonna be a total light weight. oh well, at least i'll be a cheap date for my hubbie ; }

steve and i aren't huge vday people. i love all holidays, any excuse to dress up or eat out or drink, but we never really do the whole exchange gifts thing. usually its just cards and a nice dinner. last year we tried to make fondue, but that didn't exactly work out.............
we were going to try again this year, but having a bunch of diddos' (another word inherited from my grandma adams, like shuckleberries was) around we can't really do anything too romantic.
i was going to make steve a card, but i didnt' even have the chance to do that! with everything going on, the boys being here, preschool stuff, and school (which, by the way, i totally flunked that test. not looking forward to finding out the score........), plus getting ready for hawaii- yeah, not finding any time. i gave steve the heads up (cause i always make him vday cards) and he told me to not even worry about it, we'd celebrate this weekend (in hawaii baby!!!!).
rock on.
so i had a fun day, even though the little girls were both under the weather.
did a little vday party with them,
ate lots of heart shaped cookies (yuuuuum o!),
a good time.
then steve came home with a big boquet of flowers!!!!!!!!!!!

wow, my hubbie rocks! it was sooooo sweet and unexpected! i almost cried. actually surprised that i DIDNT cry............... see, steve never ever gives me flowers. i actually did a layout on that before. anyways, so he's defiently never given me flowers on vday, it was so sweet and wonderful and i love my sexy man!

yeah, im so tired so i dont' have the energy to post more.

ok, havent' been able to really keep up with these recently, so here they are, reagans fabulous 5 questions a week- times 3

1) What stresses you out the most? life. its a stressful thing, what can i say? and stressing is what i do best.........
2) What is the first thing you do when working on a layout? pick out the pictures and try to decide how i want to lay them out.
3) What is your favorite kind of cookie? mmm, i love cookies. probably classic chocolate chip. homemade, and warm. oooooh, and love it when they put icecream on top.......
4) What age was your most memorable birthday? last year? roaring 2o's party, it was awesome. loved my 21st birthday fiasco. this year for my 25th gonna go wine tasting. i have a lot of other memorable bdays. its my favorite day of the year ; )
5) What is the most recent non-scrappin thing you have used on a layout? staples probably don't count, huh? can't think of anything really. i guess tags. like gift bag tags from target.

1- Do you have brothers or sisters? Tell a little bit about them. - 2 brothers, both younger. chris is 23 on the 17th, a double major: psychology and religious studies- at the University of Iowa. He's so super duper smart its ridiculous, very intense, and a mind in the gutter. Greg is 19 and a sophmore at Kirkland Community College in Iowa City, plans to transfer to UofI. He's the only normal one out of us 3 siblings, very serious and responsible, but can also be hysterical! i love my brothers.
2- What is your favorite type of food? um, all of it. i dont' really know. i loooooooooooove sushi, love italian, love mexican. i just love to eat........
3- Scrapbooking technique you are scared to try? hmmm, i don't know. i think i'm scared to try and push my limits, more than i'm scared of techniques. but i am confused by heidi swapp masks. i don't want to buy them until i really understand how to use them.........
4- Are you a messy scraper or a tidy one? if you really knew me, you wouldn't even ask. lol, i'm soooo messy! and my scrap area is the only place in the house thats "mine" and i don't have to share and so i make it as messy as i please!
5. What is or was your favorite kids book? ok, i'm a freakin preschool teacher- i LOVE kids books! loved goodnight moon when i was little, and this book called Katie's Quilt. i still have that one. books i loved then and now are the napping house, all the eric carle, the curdory books, i could go on and on. and a new author i recently discovered who is GREAT is Todd Parr. fabulous books and great pics. ok yeah, i'm a nerd...........

i have to do a weekend recap soon! had a fun super full weekend. but now i have to get lots and lots done- have a test tonigth and haven't even studied a little bit! oh dear............ just as long as i pass the class (i believe thats a d+???? hopefully i can manage that....)

missing you........

right now i'm missing girlfriends. good,solid, quality girlfriends. friends that you will stop by just to say whats up, that you can sit and watch stupid tv shows with, who loves to gossip about celebrities, girlfriends who are there to listen when you need it, to cry with you, to laugh with you. who know when i'm needing a good friend or shoulder to cry on. friends that don't judge me, but accept me. girlfriends, who even though they may not understand what i'm going through, will be there for me. whatever i need. a friend that never makes me feel bad for being me.
dont' get me wrong, i have a bazillion of fabulous girlfrined just like that- all over the country. but thats the problem, they're all over the country. they aren't here, near me. yes, i can call them on the phone or send them an email, chit chat on im, or just know that they are there, BUT its not the same. i don't have anyone to just come over when i need a friend, or anyone that i can go and grab a drink with and vent. i really miss that. all my life i've had at least a few right near by. in highschool i had all my best friends, college i had some seriously fab/solid friends, and after that i had my SB girls. then i moved down to san diego, away from all my bestests girls. now the closest is in Calabasas, about 2 hours away. which isn't bad, but its through LA and that just sucks. and i can't just call her up and say- hey, meet me here, i need to talk.
feelign a little bit alone. and its no fun. i have steve, he's my bestest bestest friend in the whole wide world ever, but he's also my husband and a guy. girls NEED girls, ya know?
i'm glad to have met all you bloggers out there- i feel i at least have people to *listen* whenever i need to post. but to all my girls all over the country- just know that i miss you lots. i love you lots. and can't wait to see you all again soon (and, by the way, San Diego is a great place to live if any of you are thinking of moving............)

my feet are freezing

don't really know why, they just are. they always are. even though its hot out. i think it means that not enough oxygen is flowing to my feet, which means i have a bunch of knots in my muscles, which means i need a massage. anyone want to donate $90 so i can go and get one?

anyways- so Muriel is the winner, she guessed it right! i have NEVER been sky diving. I'm terrified of heights. so i don't think i will ever jump out of a plane or bungee jump.
so that means yes, i have had 23 piercings, the most at one time was 17 (which is my lucky number). now i have 13. oh, thats bad luck. hmmmm, guess i should take another out, or put another in ; ) not going to say where all the piercings were, i'll leave that to your imaginations
and yes, i have been arrested, and to jail. its a long story, and sounds way worse than it was. for those of you who know isla vista on halloween, i really don't think i need to explain. i was just thrown in the drunk tank, what can i say. i was a wild and crazy college going gal! don't worry ,nothing on my record or anything. and i didn't get a mug shot taken. the whole story is actually pretty amusing, but i'm not going to go into details. anyways, so muriel- email me your address, you deserve a prize!

Quick! what movie is that from (and no cheating!) may be a RAK involved.........

yeah, that was me last night. poor baby josh decided he didn't feel like sleeping, and he was sleeping, psycho me decided to be an insomniac. damn it jim. so i said that to him, made me laugh. you can't be mad at a baby for keeping you up, especially when you go to get him he has a HUGE grin on his face.

so i laughed and said "you're killing me smalls" and proceeded to stay up for another 2 hours.
i've always had sleeping issues- the minute its "time for bed" my mind starts racing and i can never sleep. i always have to read or watch tv to distract me till my eyes barely stay open. i also have to use sleeping pills (perscribed ) sometimes, too. but since the boys have been here- i've been sleeping like a baby! (when aloud the time to that is). then last night- wtf? don't know what that was about. so right now i'm functioning on, um, a little over 3 hours of sleep.

so i don't know if i've mentioned it, but on top of eveything else going on, i'm also going to school. well, only one class once a week on monday nights from 6:30 - 9:30. my college experience is quite a long and complicated story, so i'm not gonna bore you with it, but basically i have yet to get a degree. and actually, to do what i do, i don't really need one. really, all you need to do an in home daycare is not be a criminal and have your house approved. really sad actually. i am a preschool teacher in california cause i have a certain amount of child development units, just not a degree. and like i said, i don't really need one so i don't know why i'm trying to get it. maybe trying to prove something to someone????? so anyways, i need two more GE's, and then a few more specific child development classes and i'm set. the 2 GE's though suck. history and something else, like multi culture or something. so right now i'm taking history. I HATE HISTORY!!!!!!!!! sorry to all you history buffs out there, but it bores the crap out of me. and i suck at facts. but i have to take it. grrrrrrrrrrrr. so the class is at night, all this drama is going on at home, so i'm majorly distracted. the only thing i seem to be able to focus on is my teachers humonoid rock. like serious people- at least 4 carrot diamond just chillin on her ring finger. its HUGE!!!! so i stare at that, doodle lo sketches, or figure out how much more money i need to make, or just get really annoyed with the know it alls in the class. ok dudes, if you know so much about history, what are you doing in this class? its history 101!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrr, i hate know-it-alls.
so thats another thing on my plate. and i have a test next week! there have only been 3 classes- oy. as long as i pass.............

on much fun topics, my fav sexy singer man JACK JOHNSON has been nominated for best male pop song of the year for sitting waiting wishing. didn't really think of it as a pop song, but whatever. i hope he gets it, cause he totally desearves it. he RULES

think i got sucked into the bachelor. how embarassing, totally shouldn't admit it. but damn, its an addictive show. i cant' believe he kept on drama cry baby girl.........

today is a good day

so i had a pretty good weekend. had saturday "off" and all i really did was sleep. soooooooooo nice. after the boys left at about 9 i went back to sleep for almost 3 hours, then just lounged around the house adn watched tv- got totally sucked into discovery channel. watching about sharks and killer jellyfish and bears (yeah, and i'm scared of them all. any animal that could attack/kill me, no matter how likely that i'd ever run into it, i'm terrified of. so i freak myself out more by watching about how dangerous they can be.......) then the boys got back around 6. i also got a bit of scrappin done- not as much as i wanted, but i did finish my cj entry for reagan's cj, and i was so stoked on it! i wish i could post it!!!!!!
sunday i went psycho and cleaned the whole house. i wanted to go the gym too, but steve was gone at a superbowl party, and one of us has to be with the boys the whole time, so my work out was vaccuuming the house. good times. i also "cleaned out" my closet to find old clothes to donate to teh garage sale to help raise money for my cousins. i already had gone through a few months ago adn gave them a huge box of stuff, but when i went back again i realized i really had no reason to keep a lot of things- especially if it goes to help with anything (if that makes sense). so yeah, got rid of lots here too! (the garage sale held on sat raised over $400, and they're going to have at least one more)

so i got a lot done and thats always a good thing

still trying to figure out which lo's to use for the lss dt. thanks for all the imput!!!!! i think i shoudl maybe show them some 12 x 12 lo's too, cause thats usually what size the lo's are that they use. and i dont' know how to scan them, and my pics are crappy, so thats why i never post any of them- but i have quite a few!!!!! so i took pics of 2 of the lo's i'm thinking of
this one is a lo on the padres. its not too fancy, but i really like it. but i don't know if its what they'd be looking for.......... let me know what you guys think

i know you guys can't read the journaling or anythign on any of them- see why i dont 'post them on 2peas? but that one is of me and all my girl cousins w/"adams" as their last name at my cousin andy's wedding- so his new wife was now an adams girl too! i think this would be a good one cause i used a lot of different products, etc, and i think thats probably what they're looking for (???) partly anyways.
i think for sure i'm going to use the iowa city one- got a lot of peeps saying they liked that one, and i'm kinda fond of it myself ; )

ok, now wow, i need to stop rambling. now that i'mm getting in the swing of thigns i think i'll be able to post more. and my preschool is going pretty well- getting lots of phone calls and people checking it out- keep your fingers crossed for me!!!!

back to scrappin

hey all
so yeah, trying to get back to scrappin anyways.............
i finally found Pink Pineapple Scrapbooks, a lss that is super duper close to me (aren't you proud of me, jess?) anyways, its tiny, but has some cute stuff and i think prices are a bit cheaper (which is always good) AND its only 5 minutes away. score. i didn't really get to shop, cause i have the boys, but i grabbed a newsletter. it says in it that they're looking for 5 new members of their design team. just have to turn in 3 of my fav lo's. by feb 28th. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. so right now i may not have super duper amounts of time to scrap, but hopefully this will all be done by feb 22, then i would have time, so anyways- i'll quit rambling. basically i think i'm going to go for it, what could it hurt, rigth? and i wanted your help. let me know which lo's i should chose, just check out my 2peas account. i wish i could show you my 12 x 12's, but not that advanced in my scanning skills yet. anyways, let me know what y'all think.
so baby josh is teething, and constipated. damn, sucks being a baby sometimes! so i haven't been getting hard core sleep what so ever, but its cool. he's napping now and austin is in school and i have no preschoolers today, and jordan is watching Dora. so i think i'm gonna take me a quick snooze............ a KAT nap!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahaha, yeah, i'm getting delusional from being so sleep deprieved...........
tomorrow i have the "day off" so i plan to get some major scrappin done! i've already been working on my cj, but i have a bazillion lo's i want to do (including my swap w/alex- i'll be sending my pic to you this weekend!!) so hopefully i'll be posting them soon!
