Yesterday
i took a look at my financial situation. crazy stuff. but important- and glad i did it!
i finally posted pics of myself on my baby blog
steve made dinner so i could run some errands before our meeting
took the kids to the park. thats a workout
Today
i went out to dinner with some old friends
and then i burst into tears when i got everyone lost....... damn pregnancy hormones
Got the new Creating Keepsakes magazine in the mail- can't wait to read it!
Ate yummy mexican food
Actually put makeup on and did my hair (for the dinner)
Took a "cat" nap (hahahahaaha) with the kiddos- but i swear the baby is sitting on
my bladder, so it was only for 15 minutes.....
Going to TRY to go to bed early
Tomorrow
gonna try to sell the BMW thats been sitting in our driveway for months
try to not stress about money and baby stuff, etc, but it won't happen
will have soy corn dogs for lunch- soooo yummy!
i will have to eat diner alone since steve will be at back to school night. hmmmm, mac and cheese anyone?
i'll get a chance to catch up on some tivo-ed shows

bloggin babes unite!!!!

well, at least 3 of us.......
so only monica made it over from AZ, but it was awesome to meet her!!!! Monica, Muriel and i all met up at my favorite lss- ever after. got our shop on. i spent $18 OVER what i wanted to spend. which was $20. so i almost double. whoops. but got some fabulous stuff!!!
then we headed over to my house and got our scrap (and mostly, our gab!) on
so much fun
i love hanging out with other gals who love scrapbooking as much as i do. and not just scrapbooking- but everything. all the products. all the celebs. all the 2peas and bloggin stuff. all the internet shopping (ahem, you know who i'm talking about !; ) )
so nice to mention the new SEI line or Heidi Swap, and have them know who i'm talking about it.

so monica had to leave early, even though we kept her like 2 hours longer than she wanted- yep, totally forced her ;) but muriel stayed late. partly cause my husband stole her husband and took him to a concert and then a bar to watch football or something. and back in the dya, i could have scrapped that whole time. but this whole growing a baby? goodness, i'm spent. but i'm not the one who fell asleep on the couch :)
anyways, i did get some scrapping done
a lot of time was spent on a circle journal for the peautiful group.
but i got some cute for me layouts done too:

ok, since i've been sucking at blogging recently- (i blame it on the whole pregnancy thing), and haven't posted much recently, i decided to post a bunch of random pictures. then my stupid internet kept kicking me off. so i decided to try the whole big mozilla thing everyones been raving about. and um- yeah! it totally works! so fabulous. loves it. AND i can now do the colors and fancy smancy bloggin stuff on my Mac computer (used to not work). wow. mozilla is the shiznit! (um, not sure why this text is underlined. sorry. hope it doesn't link you to some crazy place.......)

Steve on his first day of school....... he already had gone to the "buy back days'" where its just the teachers. so he wasn't dressed nice. this is him on his first day with students. he looks so cute (and note the packed lunch, water bottle and coffee his fabulous wife packed for him). he's happy to be back, but i miss him- and so do the kids :(the bee keeper. yep, they came back. for the THIRD time. not. cool. at all. so we had to rip out the fence and put a new one in so they wouldn't smell their hive bee juices or whatever and come back (oh- and steve took the picture. i was hiding out in the shower)
remember how i said that i fumigated my wedding cake? well, i still kept it, and we opened it up just to see it. looks gross here, but it still smelled good! so sad was i that we didn't get to eat it.....
awwwww. i know i already posted this pic, but i think its cute so i'm doing it again! steve and i on our 1 year anniversary!
this was taken back when my college girls came back. i bought them all shots, and had the bartender make me a non-alcoholic alternative (basically it was a shirly temple). then we had to do the classic pose with the shot, and while taking it. so i'm wearing my fabulous green shirt. and you actually couldn't tell i was pregnant yet, but the shirt is puffing out so i really do look like a pregnant woman taking a shot! oh dear- hope baby won't find it later in life and wonder what pregnant mommy was up to..........
my brother greg and his girlfriend anne. i almost got a normal smile out of him. and of course i cut the top of his head off. but its still cute!

Got my Scrap on

and it felt good!!!!!!!
I haven't scrapped in FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!! i've been too freakin tired during the week (i go to bed before the sunsets, i swear!) and my weekends have been pretty jammed packed. pre-pregnant me booked pretty much my whole summer up. the only scrapping i've done has been for CJ's, which is a good thing. But even that it feels like I haven't done in a while.
SO anyways, I had Odette's Bloggin Babes CJ to do- her theme was Lucky. And, besides it getting Britney Spears cheesy song stuck in my head, it gave me the kick in the booty i needed to finally scrap. so thank you odette!!!












i loved my CJ entry so much, and thought it was a really important lo to keep for myself, that i made my own 8.5 x 12 version. I'm posting it on my other blog, expecting, or you can see it at 2 peas. There you can also read the journaling
so yeah, i plan on definetly (sp?) getting more scrapping done soon!!! especially in september, when most of my weekends are 100% free!!!! woo hoo!!!!!

drum roll please.......

and the big exciting post i know you've all been waiting for......
i'm pregnant!!! thats my big news : ) and thats why i've been kind M.I.A. in the scrapping and blogging world. or just not as active. i've been EXHAUSTED.
but so happy
for those of you that know me even just a little bit, i'm sure you know how much i've always wanted this. and if you know me really well, you'll know that i was super scared that it wasn't going to happen- or was going to be really hard. but steve and i have been incredibly blessed (and apparently fertile!) and got pregnant before we even started to offically try.
i'm so happy, so excited, and so fat. my tummy "popped" 2 weeks ago, but i'm still at that awkward in between stage where i dont' look quite pregnant, just that i've put on a few pounds.......
so, baby is due february 6, 2007
we are not going to find out if it is a boy or girl
we do have names pick: jessica kathryn if its a girl, and charles steven if its a boy
i am going to try to do the "natural" thing. please don't say that i'm crazy or anything negative about that. doesn't help. but if you've done it, please email me with tips!
i am going to keep working, right till baby is born! if i can. i have my current assistnat, and am going to hire another one in a few months. i will close the preschool for two weeks, then have my 2 assistants work full time for two weeks while i stay upstairs with baby. after those two weeks, then i'll go back to work. but i'll be able to have baby with me- which is the whole reason i have the preschool in the first place! so that i can stay at home with my kids.
my mom is going to come out for christmas and then stay till after the baby will be born. that will be awesome, so super helpful
steve is also super excited
all the family is excited, my brothers are already fighting over who is going to be the "cool" uncle.

Soooooooooo with that said and done, i have also started up a new blog to document this insane but awesome time in my life. Expecting. that way i don't have to bore anyone who doesnt' want to hear about my growing waistline or all the other crazy things that go on when one is pregnant. check it out, and leave comments and let me know that i'm not going crazy, and that i'm not the only one who doesn't enjoy the in between "looking fat" stage.........
i've known for almost three months now. it was super hard to keep a secret, and i did let it slip to a few of you out there, but now i'm at 15 weeks and feeling pretty good. and once again, so happy.
so this is my really rambling post announcement! so if i don't post as much or comment on your blogs, its cause i now NEED 9 hours of sleep a night. i'm in bed before 9pm. sometimes its still light out when i'm curling up. weird. and i'm sure i'll still be pretty busy once baby arrives too. but i'm still here and still really wanting to stay up with the blog and scrapbooking. just won't be quite as active as i once was.......

weirdos

so last night i was watching animal planet with my hubby. yes, we're dorks, we watch animal planet. and discovery channel. and he watches the weather channel, but hes on his own with that one.
ANYWAYS. watched this show about this dude who's trying to prove some point that lions won't eat humans or something dumb. i've seen it before. so he goes and gets as close as possible to the lions. and thats his mission. wtf? why? whats the point? who freakin cares if lions won't attack a human the minute the see one? they still can do it, and will. so no need to spend weeks of your life to prove otherwise.
and then last week i read this article in People magazine (um, totally addicted to that mag) about this guy who got attacked by a shark. and he says "I'd much rather die by a shark attack then in some retirement home." um, what???? are you freakin serious? you are a moron. i'm all about the retirement home. i'm gonna rock all the craft classes.
so anyways, just noticing a bunch of idiots out there with serious death wishes. whats that about? or am i just a wimp? hmmmmm

Better Together

so sunday steve and i celebrated our 1 year annivesary
i can't believe its already been a year! and what a crazy year its been. but its been good. we're good. and i couldnt' be happier

a few of the deets of our wedding
we got married at the Prado in Balboa Park, San Diego
i wore a dress made my Monique Lhullier, and shoes by Manola Blanik (hey- you only get married once!)
We had 7 bridemaids and 7 groomsmen, should have been 6 but ended up being 4 ushers, 3 flower girls, one ringbearer.
We invited over 300 guests, from all over the world, and a little less than 200 came
the ceremony was short and sweet- to the point!
i cried and laughed the whole time
we did a "triple kiss" when it was time
i was sooooooooooooooooooo happy
Our first dance was a rhumba we practiced to Jack Johnsons "Better Together" (and we all know how much i love my jack!)
each table was named after a surf spot
our colors were "martha stewart" purple and green
the green representing sage- for steves' love of gardening and local plants, the purple cause thats the color i always dreamed of having in my wedding
i wore the pearls that my grandpa gave my grandma as a wedding gift, my mom wore in her wedding, and i turned them into earrings and a broach (something old, and something blue cause we added blue stones to the broach)
yummy cake- 3 different kinds!
open bar all night
LOTS of music and dancing
double-decker bus to take the guests to and from their hotels (which were all in the Gaslamp district of San Diego)
some of the funniest stories ever- i love getting all my friends and family togehter!
it was the most perfect night ever
it took a lot of planning, and a lot of stressing, but it was fabulous! i do remember saying though- that i would never do it again!
i couldn't move the entire next day...........
we left on our honeymoon the day after that- road trip up and down the california coast. starting in Big Sur where he proposed, then San Luis Obispo, and then wine tasting in Santa Barbara County. We even ate at the resturant where we had our first date four years earlier!
perfect perfect

now, 20 pounds later ;) Steve and I went back to Balboa Park. We went to the San Diego Museum of Art where there was an Andy Warhol exhibit (very cool- that dude trips me out!). Then we went back to the Prado and saw where we were married, remembered how much fun it was. Talked about our insane past year. The first six months were a little slow- the BOOM life caught us! We ate dinner at the Prado's resturant, some FABULOUS food. we couldn't do anything too fancy (that whole money thing) but it was awesome. oh, and we didnt' eat any of our cake- i accidentally fumigated it............. =/ my bad
i truely have the most awesome, best, sexiest husband ever (in my opinion, of course)

girls just wanna have fun

omg, sooooo much fun this weekend!!! i haven't laughed that hard in forever!!!
(and yes, i am aware that i am wearing the same shirt i alwasy seem to be when posting pics of myself on my blog. i DO own other shirts and i do wear them. i swear.) they arrived friday afternoon when i still had a few kids left in the preschool. the kids defienetly keep them amused. then steve bbq'ed up some "weiners" for us. good stuff. and we just talked and laughed and it was good times. oh, and of course- we went on myspace (we're trying to get dani to join, the blond sitting next to me. come on hammer time, you know you're dying to!)

the next day we planned a beach day. this is after the week of me talking up how freakin hot it was here, maybe even too hot to go to the beach. um yeah- so saturday morning? it rained. wtf! but we still went to the beach and walked around (my friend took the beach pics, waiting for her to email them to me!) and did the north county san diego coast thing ; ) it was still good times. went out to italian food for dinner and then to a local bar, where we continuted to just laugh and gossip and catch up.

sunday we just sat on our booties (and these ladies all have some fabu booties!) and watched E! tv and junk like that and lounged. like we used to do back in the good ole Isla Vista college days. so much fun. i miss them so much!!!!! we're already planning our next year get together at dani's in oregon. 2007 or bust!!!!!
