Better Together

so sunday steve and i celebrated our 1 year annivesary
i can't believe its already been a year! and what a crazy year its been. but its been good. we're good. and i couldnt' be happier

a few of the deets of our wedding
we got married at the Prado in Balboa Park, San Diego
i wore a dress made my Monique Lhullier, and shoes by Manola Blanik (hey- you only get married once!)
We had 7 bridemaids and 7 groomsmen, should have been 6 but ended up being 4 ushers, 3 flower girls, one ringbearer.
We invited over 300 guests, from all over the world, and a little less than 200 came
the ceremony was short and sweet- to the point!
i cried and laughed the whole time
we did a "triple kiss" when it was time
i was sooooooooooooooooooo happy
Our first dance was a rhumba we practiced to Jack Johnsons "Better Together" (and we all know how much i love my jack!)
each table was named after a surf spot
our colors were "martha stewart" purple and green
the green representing sage- for steves' love of gardening and local plants, the purple cause thats the color i always dreamed of having in my wedding
i wore the pearls that my grandpa gave my grandma as a wedding gift, my mom wore in her wedding, and i turned them into earrings and a broach (something old, and something blue cause we added blue stones to the broach)
yummy cake- 3 different kinds!
open bar all night
LOTS of music and dancing
double-decker bus to take the guests to and from their hotels (which were all in the Gaslamp district of San Diego)
some of the funniest stories ever- i love getting all my friends and family togehter!
it was the most perfect night ever
it took a lot of planning, and a lot of stressing, but it was fabulous! i do remember saying though- that i would never do it again!
i couldn't move the entire next day...........
we left on our honeymoon the day after that- road trip up and down the california coast. starting in Big Sur where he proposed, then San Luis Obispo, and then wine tasting in Santa Barbara County. We even ate at the resturant where we had our first date four years earlier!

now, 20 pounds later ;) Steve and I went back to Balboa Park. We went to the San Diego Museum of Art where there was an Andy Warhol exhibit (very cool- that dude trips me out!). Then we went back to the Prado and saw where we were married, remembered how much fun it was. Talked about our insane past year. The first six months were a little slow- the BOOM life caught us! We ate dinner at the Prado's resturant, some FABULOUS food. we couldn't do anything too fancy (that whole money thing) but it was awesome. oh, and we didnt' eat any of our cake- i accidentally fumigated it............. =/ my bad
i truely have the most awesome, best, sexiest husband ever (in my opinion, of course)
