sooooooooo cold........
so yeah, i'm not sure exactly what made us think it would be a great idea to leave san diego ca, where it was currently the warmest place in the country- to go to iowa, where it is unusually cold for this time of year. i guess its that whole thanksgiving, being with the family thing ; P
i am excited to be here and see all my family. a little nervous since steve's whole family, inclulding his aunt and uncle and grandma, are all coming out to the farm. this should be interesting........
this is the first time i've been to the farm since the barn burned down. i dont' think i was doing the blog thing when that happened. the end of september the barn burned down, and my parents house almost caught fire. in fact, the front of the house basically melted. so sad, and scary! the barn was the first thing you'd see driving up the humesten road to grandma & grandpa's house (who lived in this house for 30 years, before they had to move into town and my parents decided to move back to iowa). so its kinda weird and different.
and really, right now i'm just testing out the computer to see if i could do my blog from here. and, obviosly, i can, it just takes a little longer cause its dial up.
i'm going to do my tag for the next blog.
until then, hows this for a disturbing story:
my mom sent me, steve and my bro chris to davenport - about 20 miles or so away- to go to the new fancy grocery store to pick some stuff up. so, not only did i get totally lost cause i get lost wherever i go, i'm driving a long and my brother goes- oh man, look at that dead deer. i'm like "where?" looking to the side of the road. but oh no, its not road kill, its a dead deer in teh back of the truck in front of us! ahhhhh! i like couldn't look, therefore coudln't really drive. dude, seriously, no one wants to see your fucking dead deer. cover it up or soemthing! so i'm really traumatized.........
anyways, now i'm gonig to go help start cooking for our huge "new" family thanksgiving........

ahhhhhh dead deer?! Scary!
Thats like when my dad and brother go dove hunting... I know not to open up the freezer in our 2nd refridge (the one in the garage that usually holds just sodas and such) because one time I did that and a ziploc bag of frozen, skinned doves came falling out and I caught it before I realized what it was! UCK!!!
